We can vote our conscience and WIN.
There is a whole agenda of policy issues that the vast majority of Americans support (health care as a right, ending student debt, breaking up the banks, etc. etc.). It is mainstream, NOT wild or radical, except to the leaders of the two corporate parties. These are WINNING issues. We can BEAT Twitler and take back the Senate if we can convince the American people that we will FIGHT for them on these issues. There is only ONE candidate who is building the movement that it will take to fight that fight. It is the same candidate who has far and away the most individual donors nationwide, the candidate whose support had to be removed from nationwide tracking maps in order to even see his nearest rivals in context. It is the same candidate who is the most positively regarded politician in the country. It is the guy who waves his arms, shouts and says the same things over and over (things that he has been saying for decades while the rest of his peers “evolved” when forced to do so). It is the same politician who said all these things in 2016 and had only ONE other candidate on the debate stage today (Tulsi) in his corner. But NOOOOOOO, we have to vote Bloooo no matter whoooooo, quiver in terror over some mythical, unproven quality called “electability” or harken back longingly to the 8 years of having our hopes for change betrayed by a well spoken neoliberal with a nice family because that’s the best we deserve or can hope for. It’s a lie. We can vote our hopes and not our fears and WIN.
There is a gigantic industry engaged in convincing us otherwise. Don’t let them.
