I’ve removed this story now that proper PPE is widely available and our healthcare workers no longer need to improvise with untested equipment to try to survive a pandemic we then knew so little about.
Many thanks to the knowledgeable experts and front line healthcare workers who advised me on the design of these improvised masks.
Thanks to the volunteer stitchers who jumped into action and fashioned these masks, and other makeshift PPE for those who needed them at the time.
And above all, thank you to the courageous front-line workers who rose to the occasion and fought back against a terrifying disease under the most trying of circumstances and with inadequate supplies and little support from our government.
Let’s all hope we as a nation will learned from experience, stockpile critical medical equipment and stop electing malignant narcissists, self-serving crooks and assorted sociopaths to public office.
